Ciutadella Side Streets

Back blip: Menorca day 7
More characterful in large ("L").

Ciutadella is a port at the west of Menorca, and is its second major city (after the capital, Maó / Mahón). It was the capital of Menorca until 1722 when the British moved the capital to Maó which has a larger harbour (the second deepest natural harbour in the world...). Ciutadella feels much older than Maó and is full of narrow little alleys which are rather fun (and photogenic).

My holiday photo album on Flickr is here.
Other photos from today are right from Ciutadella.
Highlights: Cathedral apse, side chapel, the bishop's garden, Ciutadellla harbour, Punta Nati, Defensive Position 1, Defensive Position 2, & the Necropolis at Cala Morell
