Ullswater On A Snowy Sunday

Yesterday's crystal ball didn't tell me there would be snow this morning. I should have believed the BBC. As I set off into town the flakes were tiny and mist like and didn't appear to be settling. This lulled me into a false sense of security leading me to believe I had time to quickly nip down to the lake before going home for lunch.

On the Howtown side of Ullswater traffic is infrequent in winter and the snow was doing a really good job of covering the narrow road. Consequently the journey took longer than I had imagined.

Lunch was late. Again!
