Edinburgh Hydropathic

A visit to Napier University Craiglockhart campus today to hear about an academic study of blogging for festivals and events. Attended on behalf of Crail Food Festival, and heard presentations from representatives of Edinburgh's Hogmanay, Celtic Connections and StAnza Poetry Festival.

Eleanor, from StAnza, was excited to be in the very room where Siegfried Sassoon and Wilfred Owen had received treatment for shell shock during the First World War. At the grand entrance to the (now side) of the original building there was a display about the role of the building through the years - as a Hydro, a hospital and a convent, before being sold to the University. I was very interested in the printed silk banner which gave tourist information for people who were at the Hydropathic.
