Indigo scissors

I was looking in boxes in the attic for something else (which I didn't find) and found these scissors my mother brought back from China when she went there in 1985 as a retirement present to herself. It seemed very brave at the time and it was somewhere she'd always wanted to go. In those days, you were allowed to take scissors on an aeroplane! She always used them when she was working on pieces of fabric like this indigo tie-dyed scarf of hers.

A dull day today, so another indoor blip. In fact the natural light was fading as I took this, so I was just in time before another dark rain cloud came over.
