Portrait of a silk designer

Today I attended the Rio Grande Arts & Crafts Festival in Albuquerque to mark the opening of the annual International Balloon Fiesta.

I spotted this designer sitting on her chair, surrounded by her silk designs. So I asked her if I could do a portrait, while displaying some of her creations in the background. She produces amazing hand-painted designs on silk.

When Sue asked me why I wished to take a portrait of her I explained that I want to get more experience in approaching complete strangers and asking them to do a portrait. She was cool with that.
