Redwing

I had an early start and was in Deerness by 7.30 to help a local birdwatcher, Alan, do some bird-ringing on his day off from working for the RSPB. We saw a couple of pectoral sandpipers at a spot where just one had been reported before, so that was good, they are a rare visitor. We went to a small plantation of trees where Alan has permission to put up mist nets. We got them up and then looked for migrant birds. We didn't see any rare visitors but ringed this redwing, robin, wren, willow warbler, and dunnock. Read about ringing here.. Didn't post before as lots of com probs...invaded by viruses like deal4me. No solutions seem to help.
