Railway Stories

Had some time to wander around the refurbished St Pancras Station in London today, which I've wanted to see ever since it opened - and I wasn't disappointed. I think train stations are amazing places anyway, but they've managed to capture the sheer romance and poetry of them so well here.

The public art is just ace - making the choice of blip really tough tonight! I took lots of the famous statue of the "kissing couple" under the clock, but ended up being drawn to the little carved vignettes set around the base of it. They are so detailed and beautiful, with each one telling its own story.

Oh, and if you ever go, check out the statue of Sir John Betjeman too - lovely!

Back blips from the past couple of days here and here
