I quite often take photos of the sun coming through the trees lining this avenue in Elvaston Castle country park, but they never look right on the computer... until today!

As I was standing there I looked a good way up into the two dead trees (centre shot) and noticed a large bird perched near the top. There are some buzzards around and I've heard them calling, but I don't know if that's what this is.

Then I bumped into two friends chatting together, only none of us had realised before that we all knew each other. Connections.
