The Edge of the Wold

The belted and white galloways are back on Arnside Knott, the conservation crew grazing around the toposcope. The sun had just dropped into the golden slot between the clouds and the low fells above Kent's Bank, hence the strange salmony colour to the sky.

Not such good news tonight, the old flyer is to be admitted to hospital in Southampton. He came back from the cruise after his 90th birthday celebrations with the same foul cold as the rest of us. But he's not as robust as us younger folk, and he has weakened this last day or two.

I shall be heading south in the morning, leaving Wifie and Gus here to mind the fort. I'm not taking the iPad, and will have no way of posting a blip, so I shall be away from here for a while.
