People on a Bridge

Gratitude

Here we are, sitting in our nice, warm house, after having a diner of fish, green beans and rice, and blackberry/blueberry crisp for dessert. The sunflower darlings had to be cut as they fell during the storm. The fish and the fruit were in our freezer and defrosted as we lost power for almost 24 hours, so we had to eat them, pronto.

We were lucky. Our neighbors 3 houses down lost their house to three massive pine trees which fell on it. Luckily, they were not at home. I am not sure they would have lived through it, judging by the damage .

I am feeling very grateful today, and wonder how we can help our neighbors.
