Hotel Torni Tampere is open

Leevi and Emma left to the countryside with my parents this morning, They'll stay there for two nights.

The 88 metres high Solo Sokos Hotel Torni Tampere that stands very near to my office opened its doors today. It is the tallest block building in Finland and it is built in conjunction with the 140-year-old, renovated locomotive halls. There are 305 rooms and 730 beds. The hotel features three restaurants.

There was an open air concert by Pate Mustajärvi at the terrace on 24th floor. Since we had a free night, me and hubby went after it, but were there too late - the terrace was fully booked already. The doorman guided us the the ground level restaurant to watch the gig from the screens instead. The experience was honestly quite lame and we drove home right after. I noticed that my blipfriend Susanna made it to the roof and she tells in her blip that there were a fire alarm too...

Later in the evening we had a walk with Sami and boy it was cold! It also snowed a bit.

+1° C, cloudy
