Spring Tide and the Bass Rock

Only three hardy cyclists managed to dig themselves out of snowdrifts to cycle down to North Berwick this morning. Three more including myself took the bus in relative comfort only to find a much better day down the coast with no snow but a biting easterly wind and an angry high spring tide.

The latter was mesmeric to watch with a boiling sea and waves that crashed over the sea wall threatening to soak us as we ran for cover. I have never seen such a tide so high here - there was no visible sand on the west beach and the sea was right up to the wooden back stairs of the houses there.
I could have stayed put and blipped for ever had it not been so cold and my fellow non cycling friends not been so anxious to catch the bus home.

Despite about 30 blips I was not totally happy with any of them, which just goes to show that after 8 months with blipfoto, I'm getting a bit picky. This must be a good thing and indicative of some sort of development - doesn't it?.

Home to warmth, a nice dinner and of course his Lordship who had other fish to fry today....... but that's another story.
