Hitting the Wall

A trip over to Robin Hood's bay and then to Ravenscar for a tramp down to the remains of the alum works. What a bother to make that stuff and transport it out of there. It must have have been worth it. Doh! See, travel broadens the mind.
After that it was back to Whitby. The art gallery and museum. Being tourists, we were subjected to the door chappy's well rehearsed 'amusing' speech. I was warned off going upstairs to the costume exhibition as there was an exhibition of Victorian lingerie. I humoured him, but didn't go up there anyway. I'm much more interested in prehistoric crocodiles and shipwrecks.
After, a couple of tip top Yorkshire beers in the Station Bar and back for some of the B&B chappies' dry white sherry. Now, time to step.
