England expects ....

The clouds are scudding on the hurricane force wind.

The white horses are whipped into a frenzy below the white cliffs by the devastating post hurricane Gonzalo winds. The passengers applauded loudly and spontaneously when our plane waltzed safely onto Runway 10 R at LHR bang on schedule.

BA having failed to link their text messaging to their manage my booking site meant I arrived with no onward connection due to the storm enforced reduction in domestic flights. After two hours of successive apologies from minions within the BA machine I eventually got the last wait list seat on the 1635 flight home.

My day had begun with the sun rising over the eastern desert of New Cairo and ended with a blustery sunset over the Firth of Forth.

It was great to be home again. . Happy birthday to E today and F to morrow!
