Sunday 28 February 2010: Western Meadowlark
We were visiting in Nuevo, California and I heard a bird singing outside. I went out to see where he was (maybe that would be a good view for the day running through my mind) and realized the sound was coming from the tree across the street in the empty field. Oh Happy Day! my zoom WAS able to catch him!
I discovered this is a Western Meadowlark and you can hear his song by going to this site and playing the song call button.
