Wound up in Wexford

Chores

Today is a day for catching up with work around the house and garden.

It's been a lovely sunny day.  Washing on the line - this later joined the large pile of dry washing in the warehouse which is waiting to be sorted and ironed - but no ironing today, we are both too sleepy.  I worked a 5 to midnight shift, but didn't manage to sleep in this morning, and Walter was apparently awake from about 5.30.

Walter likes playing with his garden toys, and was able to use 2 different ones today.  He raked up the leaves, small twigs and acorns from under the tree.  Some of the leaves went up the garden vacuum, the rest, with the twigs, went through the shredder.  He then mowed the lawn - maybe the last mow this year.

I did some weeding, planted some bulbs, and then planted up a pot, also with bulbs.  We then decided we needed more winter bedding to put in this pot, so went off to the garden centre.

Fido was basking in the sun.  I once again tried to get a picture of him, but was not happy with any of my attempts.  He is deaf, so you can't attract his attention to get him to look at you, you just have to stand with the camera and wait till he decides that there might be something interesting in your direction, and hope you catch him just at the right moment.  And so far, I've not really succeeded.
