Garvald

There's been a church here since the 12th century and there's a sundial dated 1633. Most of it however is a modern confection remodelled as recently as 1829 which makes it more or less contemporary by the standards around here.

Garvald is an odd place, there's a river flowing it called the Papana Water and Garvald itself is derived from the Gaelic 'Garbh Allt', meaning a wild pig or donkey. It will get odder tonight when the Halloween Party starts. I dropped Ruby off at mid-day as she's helping to decorate the venue and we are offering sanctuary for a couple of her pals after it's all over.
