All is not if vain if all a trip to London does is remind you why you make so few of the trips to London that might reasonably be expected of a person. But it did have other benefits - a wee snooze each way on the plane. Err, watching people have a go at each other in a meeting. That's about it. And a cancelled meeting and bailing out to get an early flight home. That should do it for another six months.
