Oooh Skeena challenge. Hard one again this week thanks ;-)

So here is a voice tracker, or dictaphone as they used to be known as. This was given to Jim when he turned blind and hoped it would help with keeping notes. These tech gadgets are great, and they can now be plugged straight into Dragon Software for speech recognition - translate into text, or read aloud. Maybe one day we'll speak to the computer and not need keyboards at all. Sadly Jim didn't get the use out of it, even though he would try gadgets whenever possible.

Although if you do a web-search on talking elevators there are some cracking sketches out there, suggesting voice-recognition is not quite as it should be ;-) especially the one from Burnistoun or the Norwegian Ylvis Show.

I've encountered journalists with these to record the interview dialogue for later writing up their news.

I've not used it, not very tech-savvy, but maybe should keep it handy to note a to do list, now where's the cable to connect it to power battery and computer and ...
