Coping with Aled at Christmas

The Abbeyfield Society was set up by a former Coldstream Guard in the 1950's as a way of alleviating loneliness for old people in Bermondsey.

I had never heard of them until a few days ago when I was called up to photograph former choir boy and TV personality Aled Jones visiting a residential home in Kew to promote their annual campaign.

Abbeyfield homes are being made open to any older person who is on their own over the festive season. What a lovely idea and a great atmosphere in the home.
