Monday 8 March 2010: Lights Out
Last day of the evening class down at Port Edgar: the Navigation and Chartwork paper. Afterwards I went for a pint with Jimmie who I chummed along with for most of the course.
Jimmie has a lovely wooden sloop called a Honey Bee (which you can see here with Jimmie and Mrs Jimmie aboard) designed by a Glaswegian boatbuilder in the 1950s. His was actually built in good old East Germany. I'm hopeful I'll get an invite to cruise down the Clyde on it before too long in return for scrubbing the decks.
