Haitula and rabbits ;)

A flower power tribute to a famous finnish poet Kirsi Kunnas.

These small statues of Haitula can be found in Näsinpuisto -park of Tampere. Of course as I got off work it was dark already - but as we all know: to have a nice shot you just have to have some light...

Flashlight was needed also for finding almost all of the statues in the park. Statues are here and there and I did not find everyone of them. Small statues are made by Olli Larjo.

And you propably recognize the Germini already?

In Kirsi Kunnas's finnish children's poem there is told a fairytale of a tiny small miniature manlike creature called Haitula, who was first living happily in a Brain mushroom which had 55 small holes and curves. But during the poem he got upset as the Brain mushroom had not 56 holes and curves - and so he moved away...

Oli kerran Haitula,
joka oli pienempi kuin pieni,
joka oli pikkuruinen tylleryinen,
aivan mahdottoman pieni.

Hän asui korvassa,
joka oli sattumoisin sieni,
joka oli korvasieni sattumoisin,
aivan kummallinen sieni.

Ja siinä sienessä
oli viisikymmentäviisi koloa
sekä viisikymmentäviisi kolonkoloa
sekä sata kolonkolonkoloa.

Vaan kerran Haitula
tuumi että oli vasta noloa,
ettei ollut viisikymmentäkuusi koloa.
Ja lähti pois.

Kirsi Kunnas, Tiitiäisen satupuu (WSOY, 1956)

Large shot is available as the Haitula is so small;)
Hope you liked the fairytale?

Susanna ;)

Ps. I was actually only searching kitchen selfs for my mother, driving around, visiting a couple of hardwarestores. Did not find any right sized... Accidentally I had an idea to search the statues for blipping, but noticed that I had forgotten home my beanie, mittens and scarf. So the walk in the park was really a cool idea: windy, -1,5c, cloudy, light snowing after the statue shooting....:). Again I fugured that the car seat warmer is great invention!
