Hooded Mergansers At Imbrie Ponds

It wasn't a bad day..some clearing so I could get out and take photos, yeah! I headed for Imbrie Ponds and decided I was going to take it "really slow" and see if I could get closer. The ponds were full of everything...white egret, blue heron, mergansers, wigeons, shovelers, mallards, geese, buffleheads, ring necked ducks...the list goes on.

The trick was just taking my time. Only a couple pairs of ducks flew off, and this time it wasn't a mad exodus!! I took photos for a good hour, such fun! Check out my photos on my flickr page.
