Snow line ...

Arthur's Seat was covered in snow this afternoon following this morning's heavy falls across Scotland. At sea level the snow did not last long, but the nearby volcanic plug retained its wintry crown all day.

The road over the main rail line to London is called The Sir Harry Lauder Way after one of Portobello's most famous sons who was born in a cottage beside the Figgat Burn as it tumbles into the sea.

I blipped this between meetings today and have more tomorrow in Glasgow and Edinburgh. A very busy phase of the year. I will catch up with commenting again very soon.
