Not Porty People and Places.

People make Glasgow ...

I took the 0730 train from Joppa Station to Glasgow.
The icy pavements made for a very risky perambulation!

The last time I was in Glasgow was at the height of the summer and in the midst of the Commonwealth Games.

At the risk of upsetting the western folk I thought George Square lacked the panache and purpose of Edinburgh's Christmas City. However what it lacked in location was compensated for by the warmth of the Glaswegians who, even on such a cold and frosty morning, continued to radiate an irrepressible welcome.

My meetings there,and later back here, all went really well. The weekend is now here and time for a wee bit of rest I think!
