Tuesday 16 March 2010: Art Deco

I'm not a fan of the Art Deco architectural style although I do find it somewhat interesting.

This shot began life as an almost Robin Morrison style complete with human element, but during editing it became apparent that the simple colour + simple lines + late afternoon shadows had a much greateer visual impact.

And talking of Robin Morrison, I'm heading over to Pakawau in Golden Bay on Friday for some well-deserved and long overdue R n' R. I can hardly wait!!

And yes, this link is to a picture of a cabin at the camp ground where I'll stay, although I'm pleased to say, they've been upgraded a little since Mr Morrison took this shot!
