Geal Charn

Quickly picked up my friend Jean and headed North to the Monadh Liath to do Geal Charn before heading further North.

Forecast was "blustery" and so it proved, although it did calm down considerably towards the end of the day. For those in the know, you head up Glen Markie, if the burn is in spate head a bit further than the Piper burn (about 500 m) to find a bridge not on the map. Pull sharply from there onto the plateau and most of the job is done. Snow is mostly gone now, patchy and a bit slushy, we never had the ironmongery out at all. Where the hell did this thaw come from?

View here is from the summit towards a hill called....err Geal Charn (I kid you not) and Creag Pitridh, a great day out as well.

Oh and I fell through some snow into a small lochan (pond), arsehole......
