No Such Thing as a Free Lunch? There was today, thanks to a youngster picking up the tab after I met him and a mysterious fellow at the Central Library.

Much of the rest of the day was spent squirrelled up on the sofa in the front room with a book or in the back room (above) with a bit of IT wonk stuff.

For my fellow lunchers, and as promised, here is the great Trini Lopez performing Pete Seeger's "If I Had A Hammer" live in 1963. Great swing thing, so it is. And a progressive song - a great antidote to these days of pessimism. Aye.
