Doing Afternoon Tea, Darling!

I took my mum for her Mother's Day present today - Afternoon Tea in the Merchant Hotel. It seems so swanky in there, you feel like you have to be all 'proper'. What amazed us is that they must expect you to eat one of these mountains by yourself...! You have the option of sharing and getting an extra pot of tea (which even then was a struggle for us), but if you didn't realise that you'd be eating all day to get through it. They gave us what buns we didn't manage in a fancy little box to take home - a very tasty treat.
