Just Like Paris...

For a moment after lunch in this little French Bistro I could have been in Paris by the Seine, with the pavement cafe's, the hustle and bustle of the squares around Notre Dame, the book and picture sellers and the warm spring sunshine. Even the staff were authentic.

Au revoir monsier ... Merci, au revoir.

Then I put my goretex on and took in the granite grey castle matched by the granite grey sky and shuffled off, hunched against the light drizzle.

Ahhh - Paris Edinburgh in the springtime.

[oh - and I love this bit of street theatre of the chap in the hat and the bustling waiter - perhaps a contender for our new competition?]

LOTD: The Fool on the Hill's "Rain Stop's Play" blip - really simple and great colours.
