Martha's Place

This is the beach hut where Martha lives. She's pretty miserable and unwelcoming until a goose invades her home and teaches her about the importance of friendship. We laughed, we cried, we cheered.

Earlier we picked up Mrs Smith's sister from her Mum's and put her on the train back to Liverpool. Then we tried to go to Bar Roma and then La Piazza, both were closed and so we ended up in everyone's favourite fast pizza place which was shocking - really slow and surly service, pasta that the waiter agreed was inedible (because they can only bake it as they don't have pans and hot water), this was after they had to admit the kids carbonara was off the menu because they'd ran out of ready made sauce and the experience was topped off with kids juice drinks that were past their best before date. We won't be beating a path back there any time soon.

But Martha was great. As the kids said afterwards it had everything - it was funny, sad, exciting and didn't last too long.
