Overlooked

Making his way quickly through the maze of streets that surrounded the Wee Hoose, Adam headed uphill. The sky had darkened, and he felt light spots of drizzle on his face.

He found himself on one of the roads near the edge of town, where imposing Victorian terraced houses looked down on him.

Groaning, he suddenly realised that the keys to his flat were in his jacket.
