Peace Cairn

Through to Glasgow with Maw to buy a pile of stuff for the boat. From there went on to Bellahouston Park and Rennie Mackintosh's House for an Art Lover. Mum had been there for the 1938 Empire Exhibition and was still aggrieved that her mother had knocked her ice cream off its cone and didn't buy her a replacement while her sister enjoyed hers without sharing. It was the first time she had a soft 'whippy' type ice-cream. Still annoyed 72 years later! We had a great lunch anyway, sitting out in the gardens underneath the parasols.
The blip is of the new steel globe on top of the stone peace cairn which was erected for the 1938 Exhibition.
Tonight went aff to see Bad Lieutenant. Could have been more intense, but twas OK.
