The Pensioner

Decided not to venture out the harbour: spent the day going through every bit of kit and cleaning every cupboard. What fun. It got very overcast later in the afternoon (above) and I was happy to be indoors. Graham arrived from the boatyard with the loan of a great collection of charts. The wee boat in the photo on the end of the pontoon is owned by a young local bloke - it's an ex police launch and he built the cabin. The original inboard engine was so heavy that it would now float way too high so he's filled it with big stones and rubble to weigh it down.
Later stepped out to watch the Germany game and stayed to watch a fine band, including a bodhran player/guitarist from Embra who has played with Sandy Brechin - who, coincidentally is playing at the Sample room tomorrow. Back to the boat for a deep slumber.
