David Francey....

What an amazing concert we went to this evening....I've been a huge fan of David Francey for many years and have been to quite a few concerts, but I think I can honestly say, this one was the best so far!!!!

For those not familiar with David Francey, he's Scottish, came to Canada when he was really young, maybe 12 or so....and has lived here ever since. Used to be a construction worker and now has 3 Juno's to his name and is very well known and recognized....and loved....here in Canada. Do yourself a huge favor and take a listen to some of his work...there's lots on Youtube! He not only sings with such passion, but he is a wonderful storyteller too....before each song he talks about the inspiration....what a treat !

This evenings concert was at this stunning venue...the Iona Church sits on top of a hill, overlooking the Atlantic ocean, it is absolutely breathtaking. And the atmosphere inside this old church (built around the 1820's) was so wonderful! When David invited everyone to join in on some of his songs....well, it kinda made the hair on the back on your neck rise up....it was clear he was also pretty impressed with the sound!

I felt totally satiated, uplifted and full of joy when we left the church - and to head out into the clear and bright evening sky - stretched across the inky blue ocean....well....what can i say....awesome!
