Endurance

Here is the same flower that I blipped a few days ago.

The frozen pot marigold has had such a lot of attention that I thought you might be interested to see what it was doing today. This morning's frost was too much for it and it collapsed, but by lunchtime it had thawed and raised it's head. Each day for more than a week it has been doing this. I think its ability to do this is remarkable.

The flower is tiny- less than an inch across. Size is its only concession to winter.

After the hard frost this morning the sky was overcast and the clouds sank lower during the day. The mountains slowly vanished. It was sad to see them go. The weather forecast is not good.

Best in large.
