Artichokes with My Neighbour

I have an 86 year-old neighbour. She moved to Basse Copette when she was 12, and has some wonderful stories to tell. One thing she likes is a good meal, and I have learned a lot from her in the last five years.

The other day we were talking about artichokes, she loves them and so do I. I mentioned my favourite recipe for stuffed, baked artichokes, and she said she had only ever had them cooked plain.

So I decided to treat her. We started with home prepared snails in parsley and garlic butter and then had these wonderful artichokes.

A great impromptu meal!
