No blu tack or cellotape.

The children have gone to stay with Granny and Granpa for the weekend. I stopped briefly at the beach on the way back home from dropping them off and took this lazy blip. Earlier whilst packing some clothes for them to take Murron asked me if I wanted to know how Jesus died...

Murron 'Do you want to know how Jesus died?'
Me 'Okay.' (spoken warily)
Murron 'Are you sure? It's not nice.'
Me 'I'm sure.'
Murron 'Well some soldiers came and tooken him away and they were wearing armour and they had to walk a long way and they had a cross. Do you know what a cross is?'
Me 'Yes.'
Murron 'Well they made him carry it and then they put it in the ground and they decided to put Jesus on it. Are you sure you want to know the next bit?
Me 'Mmm.'
Murron 'Well (grimaces and covers her face) they didn't have any blu tack or cellotape so do you know what they used?'
Me 'No?'
Murron 'Real hard nails right through his hands and feet and he died in about three weeks!' 'Do you want to know about his beginning?'
Me 'OK.'
Murron 'I can't tell you that because Miss Macauley (her teacher) says we have to wait until Christmas.'

Murron and I seem to be having lots of funny wee conversations recently. I wonder if it's all the information she is absorbing and then gradually processing from school?

Anyway the children are packed and gone and the house is awfully quiet. Time for some loud music and some adults behaving badly ;-)

Have a great weekend.
