Aftermath

Our state suffers major forest fires every single summer. It is easy to turn on the news, hear about them, feel bad about it and then let it go because it is happening a couple of hundred miles away.

But when you drive past the scene of last year's forest fire and see the destruction up close and personal, it hits you on a completely different level. It is subduing. Heartbreaking. It makes you realize how precious our wild lands are and the kind of devastation that these fires create in our lush green forests every year.

This blip shows the after math. The harsh reality of a small fire usually started by one cigarette butt carelessly flicked out of a car. The after math. It will take this land years and years and years to get its growth back.

Another reminder to treat this planet with love and respect.
