Fest

It's that time of year again; the annual wine- and harvest festival and from all over the country born/raised Paw Paw'ers gather to celebrate this with corndogs, elephant ears, funnel cake and masses of beer. And wine, ofcourse :)
The festival started off this evening with the fireworks.
I don't know if it's low expectations, but every year after the last boom has faded away we turn to eachother and say: Wasn't that awesome? And better than last year? And we all agree it was awesome and infinitely better than last year's which was also remarkably good.
Of course, by that time alcohol has been consumed so who knows?

Fact is that festival weekend is the best. Tomorrow we'll go a-wine tasting, book-browsing and arts-and crafts moseying. Oh, and there'll be beer and music in the evening. Sunday we'll go see the parade and maybe the wine-stomp. Ain't small-town life great? :)

And hurray for spellcheck because I've made more mistakes in this write-up than all 233 Blips before this one together.

(Did not bring the tri-pod and do not have a remote shutter, so photos were a bit tough. Still, it went MUCH better than in July)
