The second half of life..

By twigs

The eyes that speak........

"Feed me...

...please!"

A wet day - and it felt quite a bit cooler too. Most of the day was thus spent indoors with the heater on.

Had an unexpected visit from friends this afternoon which was lovely.

W & J were living in Rangiora near Christchurch until W got a new job up in Blenheim. J has stayed down in Rangiora to sell their house whilst continuing to work in Christchurch where she's a nurse. She was on duty last weekend, 3 storeys up, when the earthquake struck, and she related some of her first-hand experiences today. Amazing stuff.

As their house is on the market it's always in a 'ready-to-sell' state so when she learned of a family of 5 who have lost their home it was an easy decision for her to say 'yes' to renting it to them, and in the meantime she will go and stay with her sister. With all the trauma of the past week J was so pleased to arrive in our quiet, peaceful, still and intact town yesterday.

And all Bene could think about was his tummy...........

Miaaow!
