Double Threat

Today was my normal fortnightly grocery shopping day. It was the first time that I had been to Christchurch since the earthquake. The places I usually go were outside the worst hit areas and I saw hardly any damage. It would have been easy to forget that the earthquake had happened, but for the many snatches of conversation that mentioned masonry, chimneys, breakages. And when a shop assistant accidentally knocked over a display stand the people around were a lot more startled than you would expect them to be.

I met my daughter FirehorseMia, and we spent a very pleasant time together.

I took the photo at the vehicle testing station while I was waiting for my car to get its warrant of fitness.
