The coastal drive connecting Henties Bay, Swakopmund and Walvis Bay consists of orange dunes on one side and endless beach on the other, complete with shipwrecks and little "towns" which look like old Hollywood sets: clusters of pastel-colored houses with matching boat sheds and potted herb gardens in the middle of pure sand, no streets or anything. So, you can't really miss the sand, but the Germans have these signs up along the whole route anyway.
