A wet autumn day in Argyll

On the way back from Ardrishaig this afternoon, the streams coming down the hills were in full spate after a very wet day yesterday and some sharp showers today. This is the view looking across the end of Loch Fyne but almost everywhere it is the same - water coursing , rolling, powering, driving down to the lochs and the sea. White veins that divide or outline landscapes which are losing their green and reverting to russet and brown. A sure sign that autumn is well and truly here and that winter won't be far behind.
