Blipt this in a stroll in Wellington's Botanic Gardens this afternoon. It's a Tui which is a bird native to New Zealand, most commonly in the North Island and it makes the most amazing sounds - they often sound so much like R2-D2 that I wonder if George Lucas was inspired by the humble Tui?! It also has a beer named after it so that makes it an even cooler bird to me! It also has nuts on its chin - just like Peter Griffin from Family Guy. Or even Big Nat Parnaby....wow, that'll be a career-limiting statement if I ever return from my career break.
