Brisbane

Well, here we are - on holiday finally. Its been a big day - left ChCh at 3pm & arrived Brisbane at 3.30pm, a 3 hours time difference between the two country's.

From the airport we had to catch a train to the city....& the country bunpkins got off at the wrong station!! Finally made it to our hotel right on the river & very handy to station. We went for a wander over the river, it was just on dark (they don't do daylight saving in Queensland) and mooched around the South Bank. A fantastic area, lots of cafes, markets, outdoor shows & the wheel of Brisbane, a huge wheel lit up, it looked awesome - the place was buzzing. I took lots of picies, but just had my wee point & shoot.

We had a meal there - just watching the world go by. I'm not a big city gal, but Brisbane, or what I have seen of it tonight, is pretty impressive with the river meanering though.

We will see what tomorrow brings.
