Susie'sLittle London Life

Commuting.

I used to be a daily commuter, priding myself on my ability to squeeze onto even the most packed Tube carriage.

I haven't been on the Underground in rush-hour in a year. Until today.

This morning, I was like a tourist. I got very excited about the free paper (that I used to hate), dawdled along causing havoc to people in a rush, and couldn't believe a man and a large suitcase squeezed on at Victoria to what was, in retrospect, a relatively empty train.

Oh, and I got lost at Highbury and Islington, and had trouble topping up my Oystercard, too.

Oh, and where on earth did all those people come from? No wonder most Londoners are a teensy bit grumpy.....
