Messing about with Boats

It's sad that the loss of an internet connection can mean so much. What on earth did we do in the dark ages before the advent of broadband?

With the connection restored after another fraught 25 minutes of telephone queuing and a short conversation with another chap from Mumbai, life has been restored to normal. However BT have now got 2 black marks against them from us and we're considering other options.

Unfortunately, his Lordship was not up to his usual frisky self this morning and with it being a glorious day, I decided to go to the beach on my own.
Several hundred other people had the same idea and we all sauntered along in the sun, threw balls for dogs, dug holes in the sand for children, roller skated, pushed prams and generally enjoyed the end of Summer Time.

There was one hardy canoeist who took to the water, and this little sail boat, The Skylark, whose progress I followed from way out at sea until it beached on the shore and was trolleyed away to wherever little boats spend their nights.

I think it's almost warm enough now to sit on the patio and read the Sunday papers.
