Brambling

Occasionally we have rare visitors to the feeders in our tree and today we had two at the same time, a nuthatch scurrying down the trunk and this brambling.

We completed our early Christmas celebrations (see yesterday's blip for explanation) by lunch at 'Cobbles and Clay' in Haworth. Becks and Tony ran there whilst the rest of us drove over (wimps!). The cafe is always busy because it is on Haworth Main Street and the food is home cooked and wholesome (I had the Tuscan Bean Stew - yum!), but today the village was heaving more than usual because of a market on the cobbles so we were lucky to be seated in the party room upstairs where the kiddies paint their pots.
