SPINNING WOOL

Today I have been a Tour Guide for a group of tourists off the Cruise Ship Volendam on a bus trip from the Port of Lyttelton to the Takahe; then to Riccarton House and Bush.From there we traveled across the Canterbury Plains to Darfield ,then on to the Historic Homebush property, where we watched a sheep shearing demonstration and wool spinning demo.We enjoyed a B.B.Q lunch and tour of the 150 year old gardens before departing back to Christchurch via the Antartic Centre and the Historic Arts Centre and then back to the ship .A long but lovely day.
